Description

What is EV Kalcium ?

EV Kalcium is a unique blend of naturally occurring calcium mixed with herbs that increase its absorption by the body.

What are the ingredients used in EV Kalcium ?

Mukta Shukti Bhasma:

Muktashukti Bhasma reduces excess Pitta and is beneficial in all types of Pitta (Vikar) diseases. However, as a natural calcium substitute, Mukta Shukti Bhasma is a good source of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) and conchiolin protein which is very useful in the treatment of osteoporosis. It is believed that the absorption of natural Bhasma in the body is higher than any chemically produced calcium, hence you benefit from not what you eat but what you absorb. Mukta Shukti Bhasma is also used in heartburn. It neutralizes the acid in the stomach and prevents acid reflux. Mukta Shukti Bhasma is made up of three ingredients namely, purified pearl oyster, Aloe vera pulp and lemon juice. The pearl and Aloe Vera are given heat in an earthen vessel as described by the principles of Gajputta, and then triturated with lemon juice. The fine powder that is achieved at the end of this process is the Bhasma.

Shallaki:

The oleo gum resin extracted from Shallaki is the part used in Ayurveda. Osteoarthritis occurs due to an aggravation of Vata dosha and is known as Sandhivata. Shallaki balances Vatta dosha and is used in giving relief in joint pains and swelling associated with osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid Arthritis is also a Vata dosha and shallaki is equally good in this condition. Ayurveda explains that a weak “Pachak Agni” leads to poor digestion, which accumulates (Ama) toxic remains which get accumulated in the joints. In both the above-mentioned conditions, studies have been done to find the effects of Shallaki. It was seen that there was a significant improvement in mobility in both kinds of patients due to reduction in serum triglycerides.

Ashwagandha:

(Withania somnifera): “Ashwa”, meaning horse, is where the powerful herb gets its name. Ashwagandha helps improve bone-building and aids and assists in the absorption of Calcium. Ayurveda considers it a Rasayana and a rejuvenator, for which it is also known as the “Indian Ginseng”. Ashwagandha possesses the properties of being an effective adaptogen, which helps elevate the body’s resilience to stress. It strengthens the body’s defense mechanism against diseases by enhancing cell-mediated immunity. It also has antioxidant properties that fight against cellular damage caused by free radicals.

Pushkarmool:

Pushkarmool is a stout herb, used in Ayurveda in respiratory discomfort and chest pain. The herb is found in Western Himalayas up to 2600 mts height. It belongs to the daisy family and its botanical name is Inula racemose. Inulin present in this plant is the key ingredient for this formulation as it increases the absorption of Calcium in the colon, thereby increasing the bone mineral mass. Inulin may reduce your calorie intake and blood sugar levels and that may also contribute to higher calcium absorption. It is also used for various other health issues like sinus, asthma, cough and cold. It is probably one of the most versatile herbs that can be used for its multiple medicinal benefits.
